The Institute of Nanotechnology, in partnership with NanoNed, brings together some of the world’s leading researchers and companies in the fields of medical diagnostics, drug design and delivery, imaging and regenerative medicine to show how the application of nanoscience and nanotechnologies can contribute towards answering this multifaceted challenge. The Conference will be invaluable to all involved in meeting this challenge including medical researchers, industry, healthcare professionals, regulators, technology assessors and those involved in the delivery and financing of healthcare.
The NanoSpain2010 edition will emphasize the importance at the Spanish and European level of the launch of the Centre for Research in Nanomedicine and Biotechnology, Bionand. This center, to be inaugurated in 2010, came into existence at the instigation of consejerías de Salud e Innovación de la Junta de Andalucía, Universidad de Málaga and Fundación Imabis and its ambition is to become Europe's top centre for innovation and expertise in Nanomedicine and Biotechnology. The meeting includes a thematic line on NanoBiotechnology/Nanomedicine.

NANOSMAT-5: 5th International Conference on Surfaces, Coatings, and Nanostructured Materials (http://www.nanosmat-conference.com/)
October 19-21, 2010, Reims, France
NANOSMAT-5 will continue to foster the gathering of talented people from around the world to exchange ideas and information. The conference will thereby provide a platform for interactions between researchers; scientists and engineers from industry, research laboratories and academia, and it will feature state-of-the-art developments in all aspects of processing, characterisation and applications of nanostructured materials. A major purpose of NANOSMAT conferences is to foster collaborations among scientists, engineers, researchers and industrialists, and thus to stimulate future technological developments. The event will provide ample opportunity for conference delegates to network in a friendly and supportive environment.
Donald Haynie, PhD, Associate Editor of Nanomedicine: NBM organizes a nanomedicine session at NANOSMAT.
